It was written in the stars that Brigitte was never going to work for someone other than herself. “My parents always said I was a free spirit, with ideas and imagination that could not be constrained to one place.” Always pushing herself out of her comfort zone, Brigitte knew Sam was a brilliant mind and hated to see it go to waste working for a company that was not going anywhere. She encouraged Sam to take the leap with her and set up an IT Support business. A fantastic working relationship appeared, with Sam’s scientific brain and Brigitte’s ideas and drive. Task Group has evolved into one of the UK’s leading IT specialists.

Sam
Technical Director, Co-Founder, infrastructure, cyber security, automation, AI strategy
Sam has had a passion for tech ever since his parents bought him his very own Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K. From that moment on, Sam was obsessed with computing and wanted to know the ins and outs of everything computer-related. “I remember my father giving me an old broken PC that came from the local college. He said, ‘Here you go, boy! Take a look inside that and tell me what you think!’ My mother did not stop me from dissecting a PC on the dining room table. My parents gave me the tools and showed me the patience to explore my passion.” So, here we are today: Sam, a Co-Founder and CEO of one of Herts and the South East’s most successful IT service providers, delivering a high-end, world-class service with a CEO who has a passion for IT, is still constantly learning, and remains ahead of the curve.
The Team
Clark
The Project Man... Clark (or Sam by birth, but that just got confusing), has this amazing ability to focus and fly through projects, put him in a room with no distractions and the long list of jobs gets done. Clark is incredibly clever and talented and an all-round nice guy “will you leave me alone I’m trying to concentrate"
Role, specialisms and responsibilities: Clark handles quotes, Cyber Essentials and new client onboarding. He helps clients understand what they need, prepares clear proposals and supports businesses through the first stages of joining Task Group.
Steven
The Organiser... Dedicated, warm, funny, knowledgeable, are just a few adjectives that describe Steven. From a young age. Steven has always loved technology, seeing how it can enhance your life for the better, he’s also our self-proclaimed in-house organiser and policy maker “Even my policies’ have policies!”
Role, specialisms and responsibilities: Steven works across projects, operations and automation. He helps oversee how technical work is delivered, supports larger project work and improves internal systems so the team can work more efficiently.
Jordan
The Early Bird... Jordan is extremely reliable, a valued member of our team and the company early bird morning monitor, “I get up extremely early anyway, so I might as well do some work”
Role, specialisms and responsibilities: Jordan manages the helpdesk and focuses on streamlining support services. He helps keep support organised, responsive and consistent, making sure clients get the right help as smoothly as possible.
Stephen
The Innovator... Stephen is a valued team member, he is very dedicated to Task Group and always up for learning and expanding his IT knowledge “If I was using Kali Linux I could have done this in half the time!”
Role, specialisms and responsibilities: Stephen handles first line response, day-to-day support, cyber security reaction and automation setup. He is often involved in the early stages of support requests, helping users quickly and escalating where needed.
Desmond
The Go Getter... Desmond has a very technical mind and once he has an idea in his head there is no stopping Des “Yeah, I like to get things done" a valued team member who always manages to make people laugh.
Role, specialisms and responsibilities: Desmond handles hardware setups, onsite support and customer-facing work. He helps clients feel comfortable, supported and looked after, especially when equipment needs preparing, installing or explaining.
